Superstars Coaching was founded in 2004 by Steven Watson.
We are proud to be recognised as Investors in People and have an ethos of continuous professional development that underpins everything we do.
We take pride in working with a growing team of Superstars – inspirational people who are committed to developing themselves so that they can help others achieve their goals.
I am passionate about helping exceptional people to become even more effective at what they do. I believe that for any leader looking to develop others, the first step is to be continuously improving themselves. I learn a lot from my day-to-day experiences working with inspirational people, and aim to help as many people as I can to achieve their goals.
I set up Superstars Coaching in 2004 after graduating from University. I then went on to become the founder of Academy Juniors FC; a voluntary-run Charter Standard girls only football club, which has provided a platform for girls to enjoy and thrive in sport since 2008. As a result of my work in this area, I was nominated to proudly carry the Olympic Torch through my home town of Bolton in 2012 – the same town where I also qualified as a teacher.
My career so far has been based upon helping people to achieve their potential, and Superstars Coaching is based upon the same principles.
Head of Education
The role of Head of Education is one that I have held at various high profile organisations in my career, but I’m particularly delighted to take on this responsibility within our family business at Superstars. I have a passion for learning and self-improvement, and have always made sure that I push myself to achieve in different areas of my professional life. I will always be a teacher at heart having gained my QTS 12 years ago, but I am proud of my achievements in other career areas, such as that of becoming a professional mentor, a lead governor, and, most recently, a CMI recognised Chartered Manager. Inspiring others to learn, develop and achieve is my key aim in business and in life.
Course Leader for Personal Training
Having qualified as a REPs recognised Personal Trainer several years ago, I worked tirelessly to set up and open my own facility, Big G’s Gym, in 2015. As well as being a hub for my own passion and entrepreneurship, Big G’s is also the place where I run my own Personal Training business from, and a place where I am proud that Superstars, our family business, can call its home. I was always keen to make Big G’s a centre for education, and our main focus now is to help people here not only to become qualified Personal Trainers, but also to give them the knowledge, support and ongoing mentoring to go on to set up their own freelance businesses. This ethos is at the heart of everything we do.
