The team at Superstars were delighted to meet with highly regarded Awarding Body, 1st4Sport, earlier this week, to discuss our Centre Recognition going forward to offer the latest in the organisation’s suite of PE and School Sport (PESS) qualifications.  The qualification of choice is the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Physical Development and Physical Activity in the Early Years.  Certainly a mouthful, but a meal that Superstars Director, Steven Watson, is keen to get his teeth stuck into.

A commitment to staff CPD underpins everything we do here at Superstars, and so Steven will be undertaking the first run of this fantastic Early Years PE qualification prior to any of our learners going through it.  The aim is for Steven to ‘think like a learner’, so that he can really shape the course for future candidates to ensure that they have the most positive and productive learning experience with us.  Having journeyed through the course himself will also give Steven the best viewpoint from which to lead the course to others in a meaningful, relatable and bespoke way.

In addition, we have been tipped off that, should Steven be successful in completing this course within the next few months, he will be one of the first people in the country to have gained the qualification, owing to how new it is to the 1st4Sport suite of AfPE supported qualifications.

For Steven, it’s the qualification that just keeps giving!  Watch this space to track our leader’s progress as he goes ‘back to school…’ to better himself.
